From Holz- und Gerätebaugesellschaft mbH
to VETEC ANLAGENBAU GmbH
Founded in Verden in 1944 as Holz- und Gerätebaugesellschaft mbH, VETEC ANLAGENBAU has a long history. It began with the manufacture of clocks for church towers, ovens and honey extractors, moved onto development and sale of the first hot-smoking and cooking installation and has culminated in the introduction of a new 3D-CAD/PDM system to further increase the efficiency of our installation systems.

History: VETEC ANLAGENBAU GMBH
1964
Development of the first combined hot-smoking and cooking installation.
1971
Development of the first CLIMAMAT STORAGE CHAMBER & CLIMAMAT STAR climatic storage chambers.
1979
First production site for the smoking installations division.
1983
Development of the MICROMAT S, the first microprocessor supported, fully automatic compact control unit from VEMAG ANLAGENBAU.
1984
Development of the first semi-continuous thermo-compound-installation with SIEMENS S5 based transport control.
1987
First fully automatic thermal continuous line for peel- and natural casing sausage with hanging trolley technology & individual zone control/ dwell time.
1988
Thousands of examples of the ZKS1200, the first ancestor of today’s MICROMAT ANALYZER, are sold. Based on MS-DOS, it acquires the process data from fully automatic tunnel installations.
1992
Introduction of PCS 577, the first flat screen, PC-based installation control unit.
1993
Development of the “ZFA” central fresh air treatment plant for energy-efficient and space saving operation of multiple climatic chambers (patent pending).
1995
World's first fully automatic climatic ripening and post-maturing plant for a production capacity of 400t / week.
1999
Introduction of DIN EN ISO 9000.
2000
Transfer of the smoking installations division to VEMAG ANLAGENBAU as an independent company.
2001
Restructuring of shareholder arrangements and takeover of VEMAG ANLAGENBAU GmbH by the Krüger family.
2004
Development of a thawing installation for exceptionally gentle and sterile thawing of foods using air.
2007
Completion of extensive building works (warehouse and dispatch building, technical centre, redesigned façade and expanded offices).
2008
Extensive investments in state-of-the-art production equipment for forming, joining and surface treatment.
2009
Development and sale of the innovative AEROMAT VARIO system for continuous production of boiled sausage.
2010
VEMAG ANLAGENBAU is the first company in the thermal food treatment industry to offer energy consumption data acquisition.
2011
Development and sale of the new H501 friction smoke generator and the new H507 steam smoke generator.
2013
Modernisation of the IT infrastructure and introduction of a new ERP system,
installation of a fully automatic laser cutting machine with automated material feed.
2014
Entry into the pet food segment with the AEROMAT for drying pet food.
VEMAG ANLAGENBAU is the first supplier in the market to offer handling without internal sensors and motors.
2016
Completion of the new corporate headquarters at the Verden site including 500m² customer centre for testing and development.
Development of the “TOWERPOOL” for sous-vide products.
2017
Commissioning of all stainless steel sandblasting plant with stainless steel pellets in production.
Development of the CLIMAMAT STAR CROSS, the first cross-flow installation with moving channels for refinement of tightly packed lying products.
2018
Development of the CLIMAMAT STAR HIGHCUBE, a cold smoking installation for even product treatment in up to 6m high racks.
2019
Development of CLIMAMAT STAR POWER for exceptionally high drying rates, e.g. for snack salami.
2020
Completion of the new production, logistics and warehouse building at the Verden site. Expansion of total business area to 25,000m².
Upgrade to SIEMENS S7 1500 / ET 200 as standard control basis.
2021
Recategorization of the company portfolio into AEROMAT family, CLIMAMAT family, smoke generators and controls & accessories
2023
VEMAG ANLAGENBAU becomes VETEC ANLAGENBAU
